Each flavour is unique and scrumptious and we have a selection that will suit everyone’s palate including Peppercorn, Honey Soy, BBQ and Chilli. Our Biltong comes in two flavours – Chilli and Original.
Jerky and Biltong is a very nutritious snack which keeps well and takes up very little space. It’s ideal in lunch boxes, to take camping, hiking, fishing or for those long car trips.
What’s the difference between Jerky and Biltong?
Biltong is originally made in South Africa and is cured by preparing it in a salt and vinegar brine before draining it and adding a few secret spices. It’s then hung and slowly dried to make a mouth-watering meat snack that is perfect with a cold beer.
Various ways of preserving meat has been trialled throughout history but one of the most popular ways is Jerky. Beer Belly Jerky is created by using lean, high grade, Western Australian beef cut into small, thin strips. The beef is then marinated and left overnight to infuse. The last stage of the Jerky making process is removing the moisture from the beef by using a low heat which takes anything up to 12 hours.
Beer Belly Biltong comes in two flavours – Original and Chilli for those of you who like a bit of spice.
Beer Belly Jerky has five flavours – Honey and Soy, BBQ, Teriyaki, Chilli and Peppercorn.
