About Sampey Meats

Sampey Meats was created in 2006 by Ray Sampey. Ray became an apprentice at the age of 13. He always knew he wanted to be a butcher like his grandfather. Today the shop is located in Derby, Western Australia and owned by Ray and Heidi Sampey. Sampey Meats serves our local community and travellers alike!

We pride ourselves on not only our products, but helping our youth grow. Our goal is to sign off at least one apprentice per year. So far we are at 16 (2021). Joining the Sampey Meats family helps kids develop their work-ethic, and other life skills so we work closely with the Derby schools to provide work-experience opportunities.
